SMZB 生命之饼是中国最有历史，也最具有传奇性的朋克乐队。
从96年举旗“武汉朋克”南征北战到现如今乐队专辑、合集遍布整个欧洲摇滚唱片店，他们的行动力与音乐创造性影响了中国整整一代的摇滚青年与乐队！说他们是中国朋克教父一点也不为过，但主唱吴维并不这样认为，他只是淡淡的说出一句“我只是在做一个真正的人和音乐，其他没别的……”，生命之饼就是这样随性但不随意地一直前进着……在乐迷心中他们永远是中国的国宝级、殿堂级朋克乐队，没有之一！！！
《中国来信》这张专辑的歌是吴维在乐队2012年全国巡演期间写成，于2013年底前期录制完成，今年3月在美国波士顿由著名朋克乐队“THE BIG D & KID'S TABLE”贝司手STEVE完成后期缩混工作。
专辑名字当时有两个选择，一个是“中国梦2013”，一个就是“中国来信”。而在中国著名音乐人王迪和吴维的访谈中，他偏爱后者，所以吴维最终敲定这个名字，也是专辑里面的一首同名歌曲。
有人说吴维是中国朋克的“思想者”和“反抗者”，有人说是“良心朋克”，吴维并不在乎这些，他更喜欢称自己为“裸体朋克”，同为这张新专辑中的另一首同名歌曲就像是他自己的真实写照或者是自画像。用专辑里面一首歌“WHY WHY”的一句歌词作为这个简短介绍的结尾吧：“我不会撒了我手中的酒，更不会松开我的拳头”。

SMZB is an acronym for "Sheng Ming Zhi Bing" (literally, "Bread of Life"). Established in 1996, they are a Wuhan based punk band and one of the first punk bands in mainland China. Unlike their fellow established peers, SMZB songwriter and founder, Wu Wei, has opted to remain in his hometown and nurture his local scene, and is one of the original forces in establishing any kind of rock scene in Wuhan.
