DNKL虽然是一个全新的名字，但是他们的成员：瑞典著名后摇滚名团Immanu El的主唱与吉他手Claes以及鼓手Jonathan早已被中国乐迷所熟识。2013年，DNKL在瑞典哥德堡（Gothenburg）的地下录音棚里渐渐成形，在加入合成器艺术家André后他们呈现出来的魅惑暗黑系电子流行音乐很快在全世界范围内吸引了一大批追随者，成为瑞典绝对的最令人期待的新锐乐队之一！

DNKL的首支单曲《Hunt》获无数好评，DIY杂志用“朦胧双眼，凌晨4点的胜利”来形容它。不但登上英国卫报和Discobelle、Indie Shuffle这样的权威博客，《Hunt》最终还在The Line Of Best Fit选出的“2013年50首最佳单曲”名单中位列第35位。

接下来的单曲《Battles》同样收到来自评论界的赞誉，THE FADER描述它为“将M83早期的合成器创作与后期的摇滚风完美融合”，Notion杂志称其为“恰如其分的流行佳作”。

DNKL随后登上了全球各大音乐节的舞台，包括Roskilde音乐节、Way Out West 音乐节以及柏林音乐周。乐队还作为嘉宾乐队参与了Com Truise的欧洲巡演。

2015年初，DNKL通过美国厂牌Sugarcane Recordings正式发行了首张官方EP《Wolfhour》。EP包含两首全新作品《Wolfhour》和《Warm Dark Night》，以及之前的单曲《Battles》和《Hunt》。除此之外，EP还收入了由Keep Shelly in Athens, Seekae 和 Sun Glitters重新混音之后的remix版本。《Wolfhour》还会推出12寸黑胶版，电子版音频会在11月17日上线。

Hailing from Gothenburg, Europe’s new electronic ambient sensation DNKL will set foot in China the first time and play 9 shows throughout the country. The band have been featured on some of the most influential music websites around and played at some of Europe’s biggest festivals including Way Out West and Roskilde, winning over a legion of fans around the world with their mesmerizing dark electronic pop.

Their first EP Wolfhour put them immediately on the map of Europe’s indie music scene. Its crackling electronic surface, surging bass and silky, half-whispered vocals remain an utterly enticing prospect. DNKL bring a sort of best-of-both worlds bridging M83’s earlier synth work and later rock styling, a meteoric experience with no shortage of melancholy.
