北欧传奇清新厂牌Labrador旗下唱作才子Pelle Carlberg继以Edson之乐团身份带来AMG评分四星半专辑《every day.every second》后，其个人solo专辑《In A Nutshell》 亦赢得AMG四星赞誉，PREFIX MAG更将其与Belle and Sebastian相提并论，STYLUS形容他的音乐为“pretty and always very witty”，(妙趣横生)，MAGNET MAGAZINE更不惜誉美之词赞其为“新声征服者”。
新专辑发行后，Carlberg就开始了自己的巡演计划，足迹遍及欧洲、北美洲还有亚洲，2006年Carlberg来到香港，举行了自己在这里的小型演出，中国的独立音乐歌迷们也终于亲眼目睹了这个喜欢穿着西装演出的北欧人，独立音乐不需要宽大的演出场地，一个小小的空间里足以将音乐所有的内容传达。对于演出Carlberg在自己的官方网站上也表示很高兴能在遥远的亚洲举行如此成功的演出。
其新专辑《In A Nutshell》比起《Everything. Now!》更加的轻松和快板，Carlberg将Belle & Sebatsian加The Smiths，Twee Pop的风格延续了下来。西班牙的Pamplona，一块静寂之地是否留下过Carlberg的足迹？那里有牧人陌生的吟唱，在Carlberg的口中，这是块不断衰败，不断迎接新生的土地，今日的清音与过往的忧伤在这里相见，然后离别。《Pamplona》请来了Stockholm的管弦乐团伴奏，歌曲中的合唱就像一阵阵微暖的风推着听者向阳光地里走去。《I love you, you imbecile》和《Crying all the way to the pawnshop》中清新的惆怅小调总会让人想起过往的美好，Carlberg就是这样一个乐于纠缠在生活琐碎中的歌手，空空的口袋、妻子的抱怨、孩子的哭闹、破乱的家具，Carlberg将这些直白的写入歌中，有谁听了不会不禁地微笑？
这样的牢骚正是对于生活的热爱。《I just called to say I love you》会让人想起Stevie Wonder的同名情歌，但Carlberg演绎的确实另一种情致，尖脆的口琴声吹散周末的阳光，“如果我开心起来，我的歌声就不再优美；但如果真的我开心了，我才管不了那么多。”Carlberg依然在讨论生活的小哲学，一首小小的歌曲就能牵起他无限的联想。《middleclass kid》中Carlberg讲述了中产阶级家庭的故事，似乎一切都还没有变得更好，但仍旧防碍不了阳光落在他们头上，都在同一片天空下行走的快乐的孩子。Carlberg仍旧乐于开小玩笑，《Clever girls like clever boys much more than clever boys like clever girls》绕口令式的名字就像歌曲所叙述的故事一样有趣，男孩，女孩那些青涩的故事给了Carlberg太多灵感，而这份带着香草泥土的幽默感更有Belle & Sebatsian的味道。

Pelle Carlberg has been playing in bands since 1985. Most recently in Edson, a six-piece band with three splendid albums behind them. As a member of the band Edson, Pelle Carlberg released every day.every second, by Labrador, rated up with four stars on AMG, on which his solo album was rated up with four stars. STYLUS describes Pelle Carlber’s music as“pretty and always very witty”. MAGNET MAGAZINE once said: “Pelle Carlberg is the new, sweet voiced, string-dappled conqueror in town.”
For the moment he is concentrating on his solo project. After the release of new album, Carlberg put his tour on the trace through out Europe, North America and Asia. In 2006, his house concert was held in Hongkong.
His new album, In a nutshell is full of his characteristic sharp, wry humor and heartfelt folk-pop. Carlberg writes equally catchy and intimate pop songs with an ease rarely seen since Belle & Sebastians early years.
