Sleepmakeswaves是一支来自悉尼的后摇乐队。乐队组建于2006年，成立的初衷是为了创作出更有质感、有活力、富于情绪表达的音乐作品。2007年乐队发型了首支demo并获得了出人意料的好评与追捧，随后他们又接连发行了两张EP。乐迷们口耳相传的好评以及评论人的赞赏，让这支乐队的乐迷数量在全球内迅速的膨胀，他们在网络上发布的作品以及在Triple J, Radio K和BBC的节目中的现场演出录音有超过50000人次的下载。
在2011年的年末，乐队通过澳大利亚独立唱片厂牌Bird’s Robe Records发行了他们的首张录音室专辑“…and so we destroyed everything”。这张专辑完美地诠释了这支乐队的音乐风格：他们的作品中有着利落铿锵的旋律，让人热血沸腾。曲调走向变幻莫测，大气中又不失优雅。这张专辑昭示着他们对于探索新的音乐领域的欲望。这张专辑被RTR、KOOP以及Nowlikephotographs等音乐媒体评为每周最佳唱片，还在Drum Media, TheMusic.com、Sputnik Music & Metal Obsession等媒体评选的年度最佳唱片名单中占据一席之地。多支单曲在CMJ的全球热门单曲Top排行中占据了长达7周的时间。
Sleepmakeswaves在后摇领域的大胆尝试以及突破性融合电子元素的现场演出，让他们在与65daysofstatic， Karnivool， Tortoise，Mono，Pelican， Russian Circles 以及 Boris等大牌乐队一同巡演时受到瞩目。他们在Peats Ridge Festival（皮特斯山音乐节）以及Menagerie,，Progfest（先锋音乐节）等音乐节上的演出大放异彩，在澳洲本土的巡演门票几乎场场都售罄。他们的首张专辑甚至得到了2012年的澳洲音乐大赏的提名。这让Sleepmakeswaves成为了后摇滚领域一颗不容忽视的新星。
2014年7月，他们的第二张专辑“Love of Cartography”在澳洲出版并饱受赞赏，乐队首次参与了澳洲音乐大奖、AIR音乐大奖以及独立音乐人奖的颁奖礼的现场演出。随着这张专辑在海外的不断发行推广，乐队将开展一次横跨澳洲大陆、亚洲、欧洲和北美的世界巡演！这当然也包含他们最为重要的首次中国之行！
