DA BANG（a.k.a.“大棒”），组建于2008年春，在当时受到yeah yeah yeahs、death from above 1979等音乐影响的四个年轻人一拍即合，在朋友家DIY了第一张EP《the bigger bang》。独特、新颖、时髦，令当年独立音乐听众、舞台、媒体与厂牌为之惊艳，倍受关注，迅速成为一支indie rock急先锋，EP推出一周内，乐队成员听见英文电台播放自己的歌，同年EP中歌曲cry for young被选为converse广告曲，随即签约摩登天空。
2011年出品首张专辑《少年邪》，巡演全国十四城，参演杜琪峰监制、余文乐张静初主演电影《醉后一夜》，两首歌曲同时被采用于影片当中。同年DA BANG亦成为国际时尚品牌宠儿，合作品牌包括Armani(阿玛尼)，Ray-ban(雷朋)，Ford福特嘉年华（影视广告及广告曲），雪佛兰spark，PUMA，converse，Nike，Vans，马克华菲，source，kappa，奔驰汽车等等。
2012年新EP 《celebrate》推出，巡演十余城市，一个月内网络试听点击量超过百万，同名歌曲《celebrate》被选为2012年草莓音乐节广告曲，歌曲《爱变成你身后的鬼》被采用于彭磊执导电影《乐队》影片当中。
2014年，DA BANG欧洲巡演，荷兰、西班牙、法国、德国的十多个城市，包括巴塞罗那BAM音乐节、MMVV艺术节、法国昂热的孔子学院返校庆典等等。
在多年的艺术经历中，DA BANG逐渐形成只属于DA BANG的独一无二的声音、独一无二的艺术表现力，辨识度极高，强大的能量与气场，国际化的审美，人肉舞曲，猛虎清泉，梦幻狂野，不落俗套。
