庞麦郎在2014年因为创作神曲《我的滑板鞋》之后在网络走红，同年又创作《西班牙的牛》《打吊针》、《我要打败你》几首歌曲。
《我的滑板鞋》一经上线就在国内各大社交网络平台爆红，被转载到YouTube之后甚至引起了海外朋友的翻唱热潮。不同于其他稍纵即逝的网络热点，庞麦郎迅速成为国内现象级的话题人物之后，也引起了大规模关于他的作品的讨论。
两年来庞麦郎活跃于大大小小的活动现场，2016年年初开始全国巡演。

Josehan Punmanlone became an internet meme in 2014, for his well spread brianwashing song "My Skateboard Shoes", several other songs of him released online later in the same year.
"My Skateboard Shoes" went viral over night, even covered by overseas netizens soon through YouTube. Different from other memes online, after becoming phenomenal, Punmanlone as well touched off a heated discussion among online social media even traditional media.
Punmanlone has been active in many public events over the past 2 years, started his China tour in the beginning of 2016.
