由键盘手Alexandre Herer领衔的OXYD乐队来自法国巴黎。他们深受现代爵士音乐人Jim Black、Steve Coleman、John Hollenbeck、Marc Ducret等影响，也从AlasNoAxis、Kneebody、Radiohead或Sonic Youth等乐队中汲取了养分。从2006年开始，OXYD原创极具个性的音乐作品。他们的音乐，每一首、每一辑甚至每一场，都呼吸着来自爵士乐的灵感，融合了摇滚和现代音乐的即兴变奏。
键盘手兼乐队作曲的Alexandre Herer用Fender Rhodes多变的音色和效果营造既复古又写实的氛围，小号手Olivier Laisney和次中音萨克斯手Julien Pontvianne担任乐队中重要的先锋，引导着乐队的旋律和即兴演奏。电贝斯手Oliver Degabriele和鼓手Thibault Perriard则为乐队的节奏部分提供高质量的支撑。
十年来OXYD发行了1张EP、3张专辑，并举办了超过150场演出，登上过众多音乐节舞台，足迹遍及法国和欧洲、美国和中国。2013年他们携第三张专辑《Plasticity》首次来中国巡演。
2016年，他们发行了纯器乐新专辑《Long Now》，已在iTunes中国上线。这张取名自传奇摇滚乐队Nirvana的歌曲的专辑是OXYD多年坚持原创曲目集的深厚积累后的一次再爆发，他们决定向给予自己音乐历程深深影响的涅槃乐队致敬。同时，他们将带来“Plugged In Nirvana”中国巡演，带领观众在前卫爵士中再度与这支传奇摇滚乐队相遇。

OXYD is a five-member band coming from Paris, France, influenced by modern jazz musicians, as Jim Black, Steve Coleman, John Hollenbeck, Marc Ducret and bands like AlasNoAxis, Kneebody, Radiohead or Sonic Youth. The band plays their own compositions inspired by European and American jazz music, but with influences of rock, pop, free jazz and contemporary music.
The band is conducted by pianist and composer Alexandre Herer, playing the Fender Rhodes, electronics and several effects. Trumpet player Olivier Laisney and tenor sax player Julien Pontvianne make up a great front line, as well in leading melody and improvising. Oliver Degabriele on electric bass and Thibault Perriard on drums support OXYD by an high quality rhythm section.
Since his creation in 2006, OXYD has released 1 EP, 3 albums, played for over 150 concerts in many festivals and venues in Paris, France, Europe, United States and China. In 2013, they brought the 3rd album Plasticity to China for their first tour in this country.
In 2016, they released the new instrumental album Long Now (already available on iTunes China), along with which they’ve started a quite special journey called “Plugged In Nirvana”, bringing us to revisit the legendary rock band Nirvana in progressive Jazz.
