我们都被困在「原型」里。我们都是原型。
亘古传来的生命回响原始而高贵。
把「原型」当作生命本身拥抱和接受。
而不仅仅是生命的一部分。
平和的人把这叫作「启蒙」。
Eluveitie 把它叫作《Ategnatos》。用最长的发行间隔攒够了能量，乐队做出了他们迄今最强的专辑。
Eluveitie在瑞士阿尔卑斯山的田园神秘主义里诞生，根植于凯尔特神话、高卢历史和原始欧洲文化，一直被视为 folk metal 的先行者和大师级的存在。更重要的是，他们从来不让自己的音乐成为被披着神秘外衣的陈词滥调，或者限制于滑稽的饮酒歌。从著名的出道专辑《Spirit》开始，他们的作品就一直是对尊重和真理的追求，融合了旋律死亡金属和异教民谣，把震撼、抓耳和原始的平衡推到了极致。
随后而来的成功顺理成章。《Slania》这张开创性的作品很快让Eluveitie成为世界范围内的现象级乐队。随后他们陆续发行了《Everything Remains (As It Never Was)》、《Helvetios》，和里程碑式的《Origins》。当然还有《Evocation I : The Arcane Dominion》和《Evocation II : Pantheon》这两张精细古雅的原声专辑。乐队的标签无疑是Chrigel雷霆般的嘶吼、金属质感的凶狠和民谣的精巧的和谐融合，而每张作品里他们都在不遗余力地把这些元素结合得更完美，而不是简单地堆积。
十数年间Eluveitie的精髓和灵魂从来没有变过。过往 7 张出色的录音室专辑（包括登顶瑞士专辑榜、入选德国排行榜第 6 的《Evocation II: Pantheon》），加上数不尽的全球巡演和各大金属音乐节登场，都不过只是开始。十三年的序曲之后，天空变暗，渡鸦振翅，2017 年年底单曲《Rebirth》的发行，已经为这张即将到来的时代巨作《Ategnatos》埋好了伏笔。
在这张兼具神秘和哲学的作品里，Eluveitie把神话、异教信仰带到了我们的现代世界。乐队主脑Chrigel称这张专辑「可以算得上社会批评和揭露的作品」，我们可以期待从中听到「启示和末世预言」，「暗黑、严酷、超自然、晦涩和精英主义」。专辑本身就是一份宣言，一面当代社会可以从中看到自身的快节奏、戏剧化和精致的古凯尔特镜子。「她呈现出来的影像是令人毛骨悚然的，至少对有足够的眼光可以看到的人来说」Chrigel苦笑着说。《Ategnatos》却不只是现世的挽歌，还带着对重生的愿景。「Ategnatos」在高卢语里就是「重生」。「敏感的人自然可以找到尘封的钥匙，通往改变和重生的关键。」当然需要代价。「苦尽才有甘来，黎明之前总是黑暗。」Chrigel说道。
作为一张基于古老「原型」和重生概念的作品，《Ategnatos》展现了不可忽视的自然力。「这些原型一直都在我们身体里。过去 3000 年人类并没有多大改变。人不过是人。」这也解释了这张专辑更暗黑和悲壮的调性。当然Eluveitie从一开始就有刻着深刻自我烙印的声音，他们对声音的探索一直被模仿但仍没有被超越。在《Ategnatos》里，借着顶级的弦乐四重奏参与和EabienneErni卓越超凡的竖琴演奏，以及 Lamb Of God 主唱 Randy Blythe 的人声客串，他们做出了最抓耳、最激进和最具史诗感的一张专辑。
随时《Ategnatos》面世，接下来 Eluveitie 的脚步想必也慢不下来。专辑发行之前乐队已经要马不停蹄地开始巡演，从南美、亚洲，再到欧洲和美国，中间还有超长的音乐节季。Eluveitie 不仅仅是以更强大和凶残的姿态回归了，他们重生了，成为了新的「原型」，Eluveitie 自己的原型！

Swiss folk-metal band Eluveitieincorporate folk instrumentation such as hurdy-gurdy, flute, and pipes into an otherwise traditional death metal style, also adding a pagan element channeled through lyrics in the Gaulish language (a dead language in the Celtic family that pre-dated Latin throughout Western Europe). Formed in 2002 by vocalist Chrigel Glanzmann(formerly of the bands Môr Cylch and Dornwald), the band began as a one-off studio project resulting in the self-financed EP Vênin 2003. The EP was well received in the underground metal community, and Glanzmannand company decided to carry the Eluveitieproject forward, becoming a genuine band.
In 2004, Eluveitiemade their live performance debut and signed a recording contract with the Dutch label Fear Dark Records, which released an updated version of the VênEP. In 2005, the band toured with fellow Fear Dark bandsSlechtvalk, Random Eyes, and Pantokrator, and made plans to release their debut album, recording it at the end of the year. Released in 2006 on Fear Dark, Spiritmarks the band's full-length debut. In support of the album, Eluveitietoured Europe with the German band Odroerir, including a co-headlining performance at the 2006 Fear Dark Festivals and at the 2007 Ragnarök Festival in Germany. In late 2007, Eluveitiesigned a recording contract with the German label Nuclear Blast, one of the genre's premier musical outlets, and released their second full-length album, Slania, in 2008. The album became a Top 40 hit on the Swiss albums chart. The nearly all-acoustic LP Evocation I: The Arcane Dominiondropped the following year, while 2010's Everything Remains (As It Never Was)saw the group returning to their folk-metal roots. 2012's ambitious Helvetiostook the conceptual route, focusing on the Gallic Wars, and 2014's Originsdealt with Celtic mythology. In 2017, after a flurry of lineup changes, the group returned with Evocation II: Pantheon, the sequel to their 2009 outing The Arcane Dominion.

Gaerea have turned the genre of black metal on its head. While most rehash the classic sound, this Portuguese band take it forward and seamlessly integrate influences from other genres like hardcore and sludge. Sonically defiant and cohesive, Gaerea smash preconceived notions and deliver music they can call their own. 'Unsettling Whispers' is the much awaited full length album coming after their universally lauded self-titled EP. Transcending Obscurity Records will be putting it out on multiple formats with excellent packaging that includes gatefold LP, alternate artwork box set and 8-panel digipak with a 20-page booklet. Artful, stirring and deeply immersive, Gaerea are a band to watch out for. Their treatment of the music is not only meticulous but also unforgettable.
