野草寮乐队前身为懒猫乐队，创立于 2013 年的深圳，2022 年末更名为“野草寮”。2024 年 7 月 19 日，野草寮乐队发布了录音室专辑《猛走》，为其成立近 10 年创作的集中呈现。本次演出主题是对新专辑的直接挪用——猛走！猛走！跃然姿态可解读为一种当代生活策略，隐含打不过即逃的主张。

一支成军 11 年的乐队，重返实验意义上的民谣风格，配器脱离以往的电声配置，转向以琵琶，木琴，小打组成的配置；这一转向，并非简单意义上向民谣队伍靠拢，而是伸手向传统一抓，将潮州古调从濒死的泥潭里抓出来，并置于全球视野下进行观照与省察。这是一路猛走、从懒猫到野草寮作为风格的呈现，也是对自我身份意识找寻与确认。

与《猛走》中的潮州古调相呼应，瑶族的传统山歌（瑶歌）也是一种跨越时空的音乐表达形式。无论从潮汕迁徙至超大型城市的年轻人，抑或是曾在大山中生活的瑶族，迁徙与流动均是一个极具普遍性共同母题，本次的现场呈现，更像是一场跨文化的深度对话。

The band Yecao Liao was first founded in Shenzhen in 2013. On July 19, 2024, they released their studio album "猛走," showcasing nearly a decade of their creative work. The theme of this performance is a direct reference to the new album—which can be interpreted as a contemporary life strategy implying the notion of retreating when faced with insurmountable challenges.

After 11 years, the band returns to an experimental folk style, moving away from electric instrumentation towards a setup featuring pipa, xylophone, and percussion. This shift is not merely an alignment with folk traditions; rather, it aims to reach out to the past, reviving the ancient tunes of Chaozhou and reflecting them through a global lens.

In tandem with the ancient Chaozhou melodies in "猛走," the traditional mountain songs of the Yao ethnic group also serve as a timeless form of musical expression. Whether for young people migrating from Chaoshan to large cities or the Yao living in the mountains, migration and mobility are universal themes. This live presentation resembles a profound cross-cultural dialogue.
