Matt Maltese (born 1995) is a British-Canadian singer-songwriter and record producer. His style blends elements from indie pop, indie rock, and chamber pop. Since releasing his debut single "Even If It's a Lie" in 2015, Maltese has released five studio albums, a cover album, and a number of EPs.
His music weaves together all these elements—piano-centered arrangements, a Sinatra-esque baritone, the texture of jazz, the attitude of indie rock, and the wit and observation reminiscent of Randy Newman and Father John Misty. Fans who have attended his shows describe it like this: "His voice sounds exactly like it does on the recording, if not better.
