今年 4月，Friko发行了第二张全长专辑《Something Worth Waiting For》。一如专辑名所喻，这张专辑缓缓铺展成一场姗姗来迟的春日奔赴。这支来自芝加哥的四人独立乐队，2024 年的首张专辑，就让他们稳稳承接了千禧年代中西部独立摇滚的浓烈特质——沙哑破碎的唱腔、舒展温柔的弦乐铺底，满是赤诚又浓烈的复古独立质感。

Something worth waiting for: Friko 2026 Live in Shenzhen
This April, Friko released their second full-length album, Something Worth Waiting For. Just as the title suggests, the record unfolds slowly, like a long-awaited spring arrival. This four-piece indie band from Chicago had already made a strong impression with their 2024 debut album, carrying forward the rich spirit of Midwest indie rock from the turn of the millennium: raw, cracked vocals, gentle and expansive string arrangements, and a sincere, emotionally charged vintage indie texture.
On this follow-up, Friko fully amplifies their dramatic indie aesthetic. The album also features contributions from several outstanding musicians, with hazy, tender string arrangements and refined production adding new depth to the band’s emotional expression. Across the record, whether through deliberately detached delivery or a recreated sense of laid-back retro vocal texture, the music reaches its most captivating moments when the lead singer’s emotions break through directly, with a voice that trembles with real feeling.
