As one of the founding bands of Chinese folk rock, Low Wormwood played pivotal role in providing the youth a spiritual harbor and sense of belonging with its best single song Lanzhou Lanzhou and made itself known as the most representative band of the Chinese North West.

With their spectacular generosity and frankness showcased through their lyrics, Low Wormwood is able to present the visual montage of the Yellow River, the Qilian Mountain, and the Loess Plateau together through their audio feat. Their spiritual independence, sincerity, and concerns for the well-being of the society as a whole are what make them outstanding.

The band goes on two to three national music tours annually. It has just finished its 30-city China tour in December 2013, accomplishing 32 non-stop shows in two months with fantastic box office performance. This time, a tuner and an assistant also traveled with them throughout the tour, making it a band of six members.
