来自美国德克萨斯的This Will Destroy You（简称TWDY）无疑是目前世界上最为重要的器乐摇滚大团之一。2013年他们首次来华演出，New Noise呈现了五场场场售罄的演出，震慑人心！2015年他们继续第四张专辑《Another Language》的世界巡演步伐，再次来到中国，将带来更大规模的一次“毁灭”之旅。

2005年TWDY录制并自己发行了他们第一张作品《年轻的山》。唱片评价颇高，并被“The Silent Ballet”评为年度最佳。首张专辑让TWDY以黑马之姿杀入历久弥新的氛围/后摇音乐界。2011年，他们又推出了惊艳的《Tunnel Blanket》，这张专辑由曾获格莱美奖的美国制作人John Congleton进行混音和录制。

2014年，他们发布了第四张专辑《Another Language》。在这张专辑中，乐队采用剪辑混编的手法，将情感的洪流隐匿于静谧的实验氛围中。专辑中的曲子并不像传统的后摇那样用跌宕的高潮来刺激听者的神经，相反，以和煦饱满的姿态，像夜晚的潮水般，暗暗涌动，一波一波，渐次衬托出爆发音符的宏大！

《Another Language》是乐队经历了一段“虚无的黑暗时期”之后的突破性作品。他们从音乐到设计到MV，都无不诉说：每首歌都是一个回声，萦绕在后一首歌中，重复，淡出，又像耳语般再次回归。

This Will Destroy You is one of the biggest instrumental bands of this planet. The band played a sold out China tour in 2013 and will return in May for 7 shows in China to present their new album “ Another Language”.

The new record is critically acclaimed by music media such as Pitchfork and Rolling Stone and praised for the maturity the band has shown. The bleakness is still there, as is the melancholic celebration of climaxes. A crafted blend of electronics, clear harmonies and various textures makes Another Language feel like it sums up what this band has been and become whilst showing them at the real center of their art.

They’re doing what they do best: creating “short” instrumental songs that stop for nature’s gorgeous monuments but make the drive to and from enjoyable on their own, not as sections built solely for anticipatory teething.
