Egil Olsen以Uncle's Institution为名发了三张专辑，包括2002年的《Brand New Fool》，2003年的《Everything A Man Can Dream Of》，2005年的《Walkie Talk To Me》，以及2001年至2004年一些凌乱的作品组成的《Brand New Fool》。轻柔的吉他、平缓的节奏，还有温润连绵的嗓音，不紧不慢，隐伏着伤感的慵懒情绪，那些简单的音符都沉缓地滑过，好像来自尘嚣之外。和所有的独立小清新一样，没有繁复的编曲，没有驳杂的音乐元素，在形式上呈现出极简的音乐风格。

Norwegian singer / songwriter Egil Olsen is not like other singer / songwriters. He has been claimed one of the best live performers of Norway with his little but big songs, where the humor in and between songs is carefully balanced with his vulnerable, near and naively honest songs. he does pretty much everything himself, he has always gone his own way and become so respected for his work that he by the age of 30 got a tribute album where Norwegian artists like Thom hell, Sondre Lerche, Robert post, Jenny Hval and others contributed.
Since his last record Keep Movin’ - Keep Dreamin' he has become a superstar in China with over one million hits on Chinese YouTube, released the live album 'Egil Olsen show' (one of the best live albums in many years according to musikknyheter.no), had his first art exhibition, contributed to the original score to the film 'Petal Dance' with Japanese composer Yoko Kanno, wrote and sang on Dj Ralph Myerz' Norway Grammy award winning album supersonic pulse, built his own recording studio and much more. He has also done countless shows and toured alone, with a band and as support for Norway’s pop sensation Marit Larsen. He has played everything from the smallest pubs to the biggest stages and festivals.
Egil Olsen is now finishing his fourth album to be released in the fall of 2014. The singles ‘Find a Way’ and ‘Trying’ are the first little taste of what's to come.
